Abstract
This paper explores the importance of applying the principles of quality management to vocational rehabilitation. The role of the European Platform for Vocational Rehabilitation is outlined and a case made for incorporating quality into rehabilitation practice. The goal of this forum is to establish European co-operation in order to improve rehabilitation and vocational training and guidance for individuals with disabilities and social disadvantages. The work of this organization is set within the context of quality management. In exploring the role of the 'platform' it is suggested that there are benefits for rehabilitation professionals and individuals with disabilities in the European states working together to explore good practice.
