Imaging features of primary nonurachal adenocarcinoma of the bladder.

Abstract

Our aim was to describe the imaging appearances of primary nonurachal adenocarcinoma of the bladder. A diffusely thickened bladder wall with stranding in the surrounding fat is a frequent finding of primary bladder adenocarcinoma. These malignancies are classified at a high stage at presentation with locally advanced disease, and a large proportion of patients have distant metastases, with the peritoneum, lymph nodes, and lung appearing to be favored sites.
