Abstract
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women and is a major killer. Modern treatment has had little impact on mortality. Prevention may alter the outcome. However, women at high risk must be identified and a safe agent needs to be available. These two aspects are the subject of intensive investigation and are discussed in this chapter.
