Abstract
Filarial nematodes contain endosymbiotic bacteria of the genus <i>Wolbachia.</i> As described in the April 2005 issue of <i>PLoS Biology,</i> Foster et al. have sequenced the genome of the <i>Wolbachia</i> that lives in the nematode <i>Brugia malayi.</i> What are the clinical implications?
