Abstract
A technique of local acquisition of large amounts of autogenous bone graft during revision total hip arthroplasty is described. Eleven such procedures in ten patients are described, with average total blood loss (intraoperative and postoperative) of 2,610 ml. No adverse wound or operative complications related to bone graft acquisition occurred.
