Abstract
Arteriovenous communications of the retina are rare developmental malformations considered to have a relatively stationary appearance. We observed a young girl with an arteriovenous malformation over a period of 17 years. Episodes of spontaneous regression, marked dilatation, and elongation of previously normal vessels are described.
