Abstract
Benign airway strictures refractory to balloon dilatation or stent placement remain a challenge in interventional radiology. This article describes the successful use of a cutting balloon to treat three cases of recurrent tuberculous bronchial strictures. In three patients, cutting balloon dilatation was found to be safe and effective and did not cause complications. Although the dilated lumen showed partial reduction over the 6- to 12-month follow-up, subjective functional symptoms and dyspnea grade improved.
