Abstract
The classic foot type of Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 1A is pes cavovarus with associated digital contractures. In this article, we describe a painful pes planovalgus foot type in a 10-year-old child with progressive Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 1A polyneuropathy. The authors discuss possible etiologies and treatment options in this isolated case. The value of gait analysis in preoperative planning and postoperative surveillance are also discussed. 4.
