Abstract
The outcomes of lawsuits initiated by patients who fall on medical premises are determined by some general parameters. For example, a patient can recover against the owner only, not the physician tenant, for a defective parking lot deemed common area for the use of all building tenants. The author discusses the factors that courts consider in determining premises liability. (Aesthetic Surg J 2001;21:465-466.).
