Abstract
Herring's Law, which describes a naturally occurring eyelid adjustment present in every normal eyelid, is a factor that influences outcome in ptosis repair. The author explains how to improve the results of ptosis surgery by anticipating this delicate mechanism and taking measures to deal with it.
