Abstract
To determine whether the Social Role (SR) Scale of the Outcome Questionnaire (OQ) can predict work productivity. Employees at Utah State Hospital completed the OQ and the Work Productivity and Activity Impairment Scale (WPAI) once monthly for four months. The SR predicted the WPAI Presenteeism and Activity Impairment scales. The SR can be used to estimate work productivity using tools like the Productivity Calculator. Specific relationships among measures and suggestions for future research are discussed.
