Abstract
A high school tennis player had recurrent ankle sprains that were initially attributed to incomplete rehabilitation. A closer look revealed subtle symptoms of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), a common, inherited neuromuscular disorder. This case underscores the importance of a wide differential diagnosis when encountering recurrent conditions. Early diagnosis of CMT is imperative so that appropriate injury-prevention measures can be taken.
