Abstract
A 20-year-old male African-American college basketball player reported to the training room for evaluation of recurrent bumps on his face. He stated that these lesions began occurring after he started shaving. His healthcare provider had told him that they were "shaving bumps" and that there was nothing he could do for them. The patient had tried an over-the-counter product (Bump Stopper, Long Beach, California) with minimal success. He used a single-edged razor, and was concerned because some of the lesions were painful and leaving scars.
