Abstract
Variation in the <i>IL4</i> gene has been associated with parastic infections, but has not been studied in Bolivians infected with <i>Trypanosoma cruzi</i>. Our results suggest that variation at <i>IL4</i> influences susceptibility to <i>T. cruzi</i> infection in Bolivians.
