Abstract
In the nasopharyngeal microbiome of children with severe bronchiolitis, Proteobacteria, specifically <i>Haemophilus influenzae</i> and <i>Moraxella catarrhalis</i>, were associated with the viral etiology of bronchiolitis, and <i>Moraxella</i> species were more common among children with acute wheezing.
