Low-velocity dislocations of knee joint.

Abstract

We treated two cases of low-velocity traumatic total dislocations of the knee joint. Although the injuries were similar, management was different due to a difference in ages and functional demands of the individual patients. In the first patient, with low functional demands, non-operative treatment of ligament injuries resulted in a functional knee. However, in the second young and active patient, optimal functional outcome was achieved with surgical repair of knee.
