Abstract
Several important but potentially addressable concerns about age of first drink (AFD) are provided cogently by Kuntsche et al. However, these limitations do not serve as a solid foundation for dismissing early prevention approaches and the extensive developmental research that has supported them in favor of secondary interventions.
