Abstract
Methods to generate expandable cardiac progenitor populations are desirable for developing cellular therapies for heart failure and for studying cardiac specification. Now in Cell Stem Cell, Lalit et al. (2016) and Zhang et al. (2016) report two different strategies for reprogramming adult mouse fibroblasts into highly expandable cardiovascular progenitor cells.
