Abstract
Jack Morton Matloff, the 35th president of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, died on August 20, 2015, surrounded by his family. His worldwide contributions to clinical cardiothoracic surgery and his service to the Society of Thoracic Surgeons have had a lasting impact on our specialty.
