Abstract
In brief An adult male basketball player had posterior thigh pain that had been originally treated as hamstring tendinitis. The patient experienced worsening pain despite conservative therapies such as stretching and anti-inflammatory drugs. Radiographs indicated an osteoid osteoma, and excision completely eliminated the pain.
