Abstract
Glucose intolerance, hypertriglyceridemia, hypertension, and non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus are part of a cluster of disorders referred to as syndrome X. Exercise helps control and mitigate the effects of several of these related diseases, making it one of the most effective treatment methods. It can also play a role in prevention.
