Abstract
In brief Most sports-related injuries to brief the face are minor, including simple lacerations, contusions, and lost teeth. Some maxillofacial injuries, however- such as facial fractures- can be severe and complicated, requiring quick action. Early diagnosis and treatment of soft tissue and bony injuries expedite healing and minimize scarring and disfigurement. Immediate injury management usually consists of such emergency steps as controlling the bleeding.
