Abstract
Mutations in <i>BRAF</i> outside of the 600 codons (<i>BRAF</i> non- V600) occur across cancer types, including in 3% to 5% of melanomas. The optimal treatment strategies are not clear but based on preclinical studies could include MEK inhibitors. Combining BRAF and MEK inhibitors in this population may provide additional benefit.<i>See related article by Dankner et al., p. 6483</i>.
