Abstract
Molecular profiling in thyroid cancer has made significant progress in part due to advances in somatic mutation profiling. Yet, differentiating benign from malignant thyroid nodules remains elusive. A unique set of DNA methylation signatures has the potential of improving thyroid cancer molecular diagnostics based on the DNA methylome.<i>See related article by Yim et al., p. 544</i>.
