Abstract
So far, the tumor's immune landscape has been related mainly to the adaptive immune cell infiltrate. The possibility of using tumor-infiltrating innate immune cells as the source for prognostic markers and their role in immune checkpoint therapy have been neglected. Unraveling these aspects may lead to new immune therapy interventions.<i>See related article by Duan et al., p. 3304</i>.
