Abstract
<b>OBJECTIVE.</b> The purpose of this article is to describe steps for implementing abbreviated breast MRI into a breast imaging practice. <b>CONCLUSION.</b> Mammographic screening for breast cancer has been the standard of care. However, breast cancer remains a leading cause of death of women. Studies have shown that MRI performed with an abbreviated protocol for women at average and slightly increased risk depicts mammographically occult biologically significant cancers at early stages.
