Abstract
Change history: In Fig. 2b of this Letter, 'Relative wetland change (km<sup>2</sup>)' should have read 'Relative wetland change (%)' and equations (2) and (3) have been changed from 'RSLR<sub>crit</sub> = (m × TR<sup>e</sup>) × Sed + i' and 'Sed<sub>crit</sub> = (RSLR - i)/(m × TR<sup>e</sup>)', respectively. The definition of the variables in equation (2) has been updated. These errors have been corrected online.
