Abstract
Fusions between <i>NRG1</i> and partner genes are rare, tumorigenic genomic events occurring in patients with lung and other cancers, associated with activation of ERBB2/ERBB3 heterodimers. Inhibition of ERBB2 and/or ERBB3 in this group of patients is a promising strategy in clinical trials.<i>See related article by Jonna et al., p. 4966</i>.
