Abstract
Kneecap pain, also known as anterior knee pain or patellofemoral pain, is the most common injury seen in sports medicine clinics. The goal of the clinical practice guidelines on patellofemoral pain, published in the September 2019 issue of the JOSPT, was to make recommendations based on best scientific evidence that help clinicians and patients make decisions about managing this pain. Clinicians can use these guidelines to combine the latest scientific evidence with their clinical expertise and the preferences of the patient to develop a tailored management plan. J Orthop Sports Phys Ther 2019;49(9):631-632. doi:10.2519/jospt.2019.0503.
