Abstract
• Incidental findings are an inevitable part of radiology reporting.• Detection of incidental findings may be beneficial, but may result in unnecessary further investigation, and potential harm to patients.• Incidental findings should be reported in context, with an attempt to offer guidance as to their significance, and the need to investigate further.
