Abstract
Cross-reactivity with normal tissues is one of the key concerns for target selection for antibody-drug conjugates. Probody therapeutics are masked antibodies that can selectively be activated by proteases in the tumor. CX-2029, is a first-in-class Probody targeting CD71 with preliminary efficacy and a tolerable safety profile.<i>See related article by Johnson et al., p. 4521</i>.
