Abstract
Data-driven methods are expected to enable a next generation of personalized, preventative medicine. Zhang and colleagues<sup>1</sup> demonstrate how biological functional modules (BFMs) derived from the analysis of multimodal data can provide detailed quantitative health assessments and inform medical interventions.
