Abstract
A recent study from <i>Nature Communications</i> reveals that <i>Mycobacterium tuberculosis</i> can hijack epigenetic machinery in host cells and induce host cell ferroptosis, which promotes pathogen pathogenicity and spread. These findings also suggest new therapeutic strategies to treat tuberculosis.
