Abstract
In this issue, Wang et al.<sup>1</sup> provide evidence of the pre-clinical as well as the clinical utility of in vitro-generated directly reprogrammed human hepatocytes in bioartificial liver. This approach will help offer patients a more curative surgical therapy for liver cancer and improve survival rates.
