Abstract
Severe obesity accelerates the decline of neutralizing antibodies to COVID-19 vaccines contributing to increased risk of hospitalization from breakthrough SARS-CoV-2 infections.<sup>1</sup> These findings have repercussion on the vaccination policy for SARS-CoV-2 variants and other infectious diseases like influenza in obese population.
