Abstract

Supramaximal resection beyond the contrast-enhancing tumor borders represents an emerging surgical strategy for patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma. A recent study provides evidence detailing the interactive effects of more aggressive surgery on other clinical predictors of outcome, supporting guidance for surgical decision-making and informing clinical trialists about the need to stratify for extent of resection.
