Abstract
The dorsal approach to the scaphoid carries a risk of injuring its nutrient vessels. This cadaveric study identified a safe zone dorsally, which extends from the proximal pole to 11.3 mm distally along the scaphoid axis.<b>Level of evidence:</b> Level V.
