Abstract
Respiratory virus infections may cause profound respiratory illness, yet the factors that underlie disease severity are not well understood. In this issue of Cell, Jia, Crawford, et al.<sup>1</sup> identify the role of oleoyl-ACP-hydrolase (OLAH) in mediating life-threatening inflammation associated with viral respiratory disease severity.
