Abstract
Nineteen patients presenting with a secondary metacarpal fracture after a previously fractured little metacarpal were retrospectively reviewed. The new injury was more likely to be at the original fracture site in patients with shaft fractures than those with neck fractures.<b>Level of evidence:</b> IV.
