Abstract
Tumor heterogeneity is not effortlessly detected. We present the case of a 66-year-old man with a history of rectal adenocarcinoma diagnosed four years ago, where mixed adeno-neuroendocrine carcinoma were identified via dual-tracer 18 F-FDG and 68 Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT. This case highlights the value of dual-tracer PET/CT imaging in assessing tumor heterogeneity and compensating for potential pathological sampling bias.
