Abstract
In this issue of <i>Cancer</i>, Cecchini et al. report findings from a phase 2 open-label trial of olaparib in 30 patients with advanced cholangiocarcinoma and IDH1/2 mutations. While the trial did not meet its primary endpoint, a subset of patients experienced prolonged clinical benefit, highlighting the potential for alternative therapeutic strategies involving PARP inhibitors in future clinical trials.
