Pediatric Recurrent Unilateral Epistaxis: A Case Report of Intranasal Glomus Tumor.

Abstract

As children reach their teenage years, epistaxis becomes increasingly less common, thus teenagers presenting with recurrent epistaxis merit additional diagnostic scrutiny. This case report describes a unique case of an intranasal glomus tumor in a pediatric patient who presented initially with recurrent unilateral epistaxis. This case highlights the complexities of the workup for recurrent epistaxis when diagnosis is not readily apparent and emphasizes the need for vigilance in considering atypical etiologies of epistaxis in adolescents.
