Abstract
A cross-sectional survey of 60 hospitalized patients on methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) contact precautions found strong support (96%) for MRSA contact precautions. Most (72%) preferred policies requiring healthcare workers to always use contact precautions compared to other risk-tailored policies. Hospitalized patients on MRSA contact precautions favor consistent precaution use.
