Abstract
Ballistic humeral shaft fractures are common, and management is mainly extrapolated from nonballistic injury data. Considerations for debridement, vascular repair, nerve repair, bony stabilization, compartment releases, and soft tissue reconstruction must be made for all patients who undergo operative repair.
