The above article, published online on 28 March 2025 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com), has been retracted by agreement between the authors; the journal Editor-in-Chief, Samuel H. Selesnick; The American Laryngological, Rhinological and Otological Society, Inc.; and Wiley Periodicals LLC. The retraction has been agreed upon following the authors' identification of a technical error in the functional MRI analysis: the dummy scan parameter had been incorrectly set, resulting in a mismatch between the "ON" and "OFF" condition time windows. Consequently, the first- and second-level fMRI statistical analyses were affected along with minor adjustments to the behavioral analyses results. A revised manuscript with the corrected data is currently under preparation. The authors sincerely apologize for this oversight.
