Exposures of the Coronoid.

Abstract

This article reviews the role of the coronoid in elbow stability and highlights the surgical approaches to the coronoid. Particular attention is paid to medial approaches to the coronoid with detailed descriptions of each. Different approaches will allow access to various parts of the coronoid, and therefore selection of an appropriate medial approach to the elbow should be based on pathology and the required anatomic exposure.
