Abstract
This article describes the etiology, diagnosis and current (arthroscopic) treatment options for osteochondral lesions of the talus (OLT) and tibial plafond (OLTP). OLTs and OLTPs should first be treated nonoperatively. In case of failure, arthroscopic techniques such as bone marrow stimulation or fixation can be performed. For larger, and/or secondary lesions, where arthroscopic techniques are not feasible, open techniques are also available.
