Abstract
Medial patellofemoral complex reconstruction in skeletally immature patients presents unique challenges given that the native medial patellofemoral ligament origin is in close proximity to the distal femoral physis. Several techniques have previously been described for all-soft-tissue femoral fixation in medial patellofemoral complex reconstruction in skeletally immature patients, including using the medial epicondyle and adductor tubercle as anchor points. Our technique is a combined approach that uses a double-limb graft, with all-soft-tissue anchor points at both the medial epicondyle and adductor tubercle, and transpatellar cortical fixation without the use of intraosseous anchors. The described technique maximizes patellar fixation and isometrics of the reconstruction through use of a double-limb allograft with 2 patellar and femoral fixation points.
