Abstract
Devices based on nanonetworks have attracted growing interest due to their broad application potential. In this work, we investigate thermal transport in a quasirealistic nanonetwork model, where the nodes represent the cross junctions of atomic chains and the links consist of one-dimensional atomic chains. The results demonstrate that as the structural complexity of both weighted and unweighted networks increases, the thermal transport efficiency is significantly enhanced. To further elucidate the physical mechanism underlying this phenomenon, the effect of system complexity on phonon localization is examined through calculations of the phonon density of states and participation ratio. Based on these findings, we propose and validate an effective strategy for modulating thermal transport in nanonetworks by tuning the complexity of the network, offering new insights into the design of thermally functional materials and devices.
