Abstract
To assess the validity and reliability of the DASS questionnaire among 6<sup>th</sup>, 7<sup>th</sup>, and 8<sup>th</sup> standard school students at selected schools in the District of Kanyakumari. This cross-sectional study involved 200 students selected using a purposive sampling method. Data collection included the administration of the DASS questionnaire alongside demographic information. Internal consistency was found to be strong. However, limitations included concerns regarding the sample's representativeness and potential cultural biases. The DASS questionnaire proved valid and reliable. The results highlight the need for culturally adapted mental health tools in public-health interventions.
